A high grown mild coffee, has a lovely mellow taste with slight acidity, much admired by connoisseurs. This particular elephant bean, selected for its size, is sometimes considered to be smoother and richer in flavour than the standard arabica beans. The name comes from the town of Maragogipe which is near Bahia, Brazil where these exceptionally large beans were first found, Coffea Indigena. Maragogype is found in most producing countries, but Guatemalan is considered of superior quality, especially when roasted to a full roast colour. Malawi Pamwamba Malawi coffee production is mainly on small farms in the north, these are grouped together in cooperatives. It has a lighter cup than Kenya, but very similar in quality to Kenya AB grade. Needs a fairly full roast to bring out the flavour.
